On the grounds of an old New England farmstead, since its inception in 1967 and undercontinuous family ownership/management for 59 years. Potter’s Place has served an exclusively adult camping clientele as an alternative to the numerous fine family campgrounds available.
We are not a 55 plus campground, a nudist or clothing opional campground. We are a campground for adults of all ages (21 and up). No children are allowed on the grounds.
We offer large, separated, level sites in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. We cater to singles or couples with tents, trailers or motor homes, honeymooners to retirees, full-season, overnight and extended stays.
The camping area is part of a 160 acre tree farm providing a natural arboretum containing most trees and shrubs native to Maine, several perennial gardens, a seven acre pond for swimming and paddling, and over 9 miles of hiking and cycling trails.
For those seeking an affinity with nature, there is a wide variety of flora and fauna – a haven for bird watching, exploring or just getting lost in nature.
Other amenities include two rest room buildings, a recreation hall with separated lounge and game/function room, common areas for outdoor games and barbeques and other gatherings and a heated swimming pool.
If looking for just a restful break, one can count on being undisturbed whether retiring early or
choosing to sleep in late.
